Got it! Dark Predator

by Reema on September 13, 2011

in Books

After waiting for months it’s finally here . Usually I’d buy it the same or next day when it came out but I got busy with the kids. It’s Vampires again! my true addiction, give me blood, gore, and a lot of sucking and I’m a happy woman. Of course not forgetting the touch of romance which makes it more delish.

Here’s the blurb:

As brutal as the undead he hunted, Zacarias De La Cruz was a master executioner. Now his stark and savage journey has ended. For his brothers, Zacarias had walked to the edge of madness, but with centuries as a killing machine now left to the past and without a hunt to define him, Zacarias wonders, for the first time in his life, who he really is.
The answer awaits him back home, in Peru, in the betrayal of a woman who is readying her trap, in the vengeance of an old enemy, in the inevitable consequences of a bloody family legacy-and in the deliverance of a lifemate he never could have imagined…

Also there’s a Dark Predator book trailer.

How exciting! Christine Feehan new book is out! and from what I’ve read on her website Dark Celebration it’s going to be awesome, as all of her other Dark series. oh and did I mention Dark Celebration book trailer? I loved it! Thanks to Circle of Seven Productions now we get to see a book trailer before buying the actual book, I think that’s so cool. I’ve already pre-ordered my book and it’s on it’s way πŸ™‚ knowing myself I’d probably finish it in one sitting.

Paranormal Romance

by Reema on March 11, 2006

in Books

The weather was wonderful and It was good to get outside after being cooped up inside all day. I decided to go to Barnes & Noble. I was dying for a nice cold frappuccino but I went for hot chocolate and a New York cheese cake (yes i cheated again couldn’t help it). I’m so excited I bought Amanda Ashley’s book Desire After Dark and knowing myself I’d probably finish it tonight. Thanks to Amanda Ashley she was the one who introduced me to the world of vampires. My first vampire romance book was Shades of Gray I was totally hooked. After so many years of reading contemporary and historical romance books, paranormal fascinated me tremendously. Through Amanda’s books I came across Christine Feehan and Sherrilyn Kenyon both wonderful and unique writers in their own special way. The worlds they created in their books is just WOW! meeting them in the 2005 Romance book conference and book signing at Barnes and Noble was just awesome!
My only wish is to meet my friend and wonderful writer Shi reading her books makes me drool hehehehe yeah gotta love her Hunters series πŸ˜‰

Another Year Approaches

by Reema on December 27, 2005

in My Poetry,Stories & Thoughts

2005 will end soon and in this year i had my ups and downs, i remember how happy i was when i got pregnant we were so exciting but sadly our happiness never lasted long as i went through another loss, having my mother around helped me get through my depression and i know how hard it’s for her that i live so far away, love you mom. I’ve been lucky to have met such wonderful people that I’m proud to call as my friends truly this to me is a treasure. With re-new hope i tried again to get pregnant but first i had to endure the terrible 7 days I’ve spent in the hospital due to my Epilepsy, the reason i said it was terrible because i felt like i was a lab rat i was so glad when it was over and i wouldn’t have made it through without my loving dad and husband at my side, love you both πŸ™‚

This year i was happy to see Kuwait’s first slow steps to democracy gave me hope for a better future, women finally gained their political rights, a female minister got appointed and we also had our first female pilot. For me 2005 was different from any other year because of the devastation that natural disasters had caused from the Tsunami in Asia to Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, and the earth quakes in Pakistan so many people lost their lives and their homes our prayers goes out to them.

Some of the my most pleasurable moments in 2005 was meeting my favorite writers at the book signing and the Romance Book Conference, i still wish that someday I’d meet my friend Shi face to face, she’s one awesome writer πŸ™‚ But of course the most wonderful time of my life this year was getting pregnant again and feeling my baby’s first kick .

I thank God for everything he had given and taken from me, i am blessed with a loving family, a wonderful husband and supportive friends i wish you all a very Happy New Year , may it be a year full of bliss and happiness, may the suffering ends and peace conquers one must not lose hope for it could happen one day.

I just received an email from my favorite author Sherrilyn Kenyon :

Hi Reema

It’s Brynna here. I’ve hijacked Sherri’s email as she is down
with an evil cold/flu bug right now and asked me to email you.

Congratulations!
You won the ARC from the New Jersey Romance Writers
conference book signing. We’re still waiting on the ARC’s to arrive but they will be mailed out as soon as they get in. What we will need is an address where to mail yours.

Thanks
Brynna

I never expected to win is so freakin cool πŸ˜€

Romance Book Conference 2005

by Reema on October 8, 2005

in Books, Events

It was pouring rain all day but that didn’t stop me from going to the Romance Book Conference held at the Sheraton at Woodbridge Place Hotel (about 15 min away from where I live). A lot of famous Romance Authors attended the book signing, it was awesome to see Sherrilyn Kenyon was going to be there and I couldn’t wait to meet her again. My DH was wonderful he didn’t mind going to the event especially since some men are not into romance books. I also met another favorite author of mine Christine Feehan, and she was wonderful. I’m so lucky πŸ™‚
