Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

in Movies & Shows

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was a major disappointment. In fact in my opinion it was worse than the rest of the series. The movie was slow, no plot, the dialogue was boring and some scenes were left unexplained. For example we knew why Harry and Luna saw the thestrals and the rest couldn’t then suddenly in another scene we see Hermione, Ginny and Ron riding on the thestrals heading towards London without mentioning how they were able to do that ❗ Another unexplained example was the prophecy and what it meant, anyone who haven’t read the book would be very confused. Overall the movie doesn’t come close to the book, a lot of details were missing, they totally butchered it 😡

maybe its because i haven’t read book 5 in forever.. but my forgetting a lot made the movie so much better.. I rather liked it .. more than the last 4.. (part 3 was the best i think.. as was book 3)..

but.. over all.. I wasn’t too disappointed.. sorry u were :S..

I think the movies have taken on their own entity.. and the books are always going to be the books.. (if that makes any sense lol)

The movie would have been better in 2 parts…but then again, nothing actually happens in the book apart from lengthy dialogue. I couldn’t imagine how hard it would have been to create a screenplay for this book. I give my dues to the writters on a job well done. It wasnt their fault it was a book on information and not action…

Forgot to add…

Yes, the leaving out of the prophecy storyline was a bit silly considering it is a MAJOR part of the books. Heres hoping the two part ‘Half Blood’ will be more to the storyline and also add information which ‘The Order’ left out.
